Ex. 1: Think about do's and don'ts of tourist behaviour and study the cartoon below for ideas.

The "ideal tourist" is someone  who is responsible, culturally sensitive, and environmentally aware, seeking meaningful experiences while benefiting local economies and communities.

This type of traveler supports local businesses, participates respectfully in local customs, and strives to leave a positive impact, rather than just a physical footprint, on the places they visit. Key attributes include respect for local culture and people, a desire to learn and engage, a commitment to sustainability, and mindful consumption of local resources and products.

How to Be an Ideal Tourist

Research Ahead: Learn about the local culture, history, and customs before you go.

Support Local Businesses: Look for family-run shops, restaurants, and tours rather than large chains.

Learn Local Phrases: Even a few basic words like "hello" and "thank you" show respect.

Reduce Your Footprint: Pack reusable items, avoid single-use plastics, and dispose of waste properly.

Engage Respectfully: Participate in festivals and customs with an open mind, and listen to locals.

Choose Mindful Activities: Seek out experiences that benefit the community and respect the environment,

such as volunteering with local conservation efforts
